Default Had a little play.....

with an Audi RS6 on the M6 this morning on the way back from Warrington. Fast car!!
Before anybody starts to moan it was very early and there was no traffic about.
Good to open the Scoob up every now and then...Don't get much opportunity bimbling to and from work.
Gave as good as i got but the Audi pulled away from me eventually.

I know from experience how quick those audi's are. Had a play an s4 (estate) in my sti 4. (302bhp, 280lb/ft) Was level till around 130mph at which point we both backed off and gave each other a nod!
And yes, it was 11.30pm on a quiet duel carriage way.

An RS6 would slaughter 99% of scoobs beyond 100mph, and that is in standard form. If it were tuned it would kill the remaining 1%..

they are scarilly quick. I saw one an RS4 estate at a track day that had been tuned and then had a bottle of NOS strapped to the boot floor !?!?!?!

it was helishly quick on the track, the only thing that put it to shame was a radical

We cant really contend with that kind of performance can we...
Mine would be with it to 60 and up to 100 prob... but past 100, as mentioned they are gone.

However... £66k Vs £9k.... he can spend the extra money lol.

Just remember he will be playing catch up as you do a 3 or 4 k launch. They are quick, but with that engine, and the weight of an estate car getting off the line will be one of the hardest things for him to do. Bound to still catch you, but if your a good driver, and got a good powerfull scoob, then you would probably hold him off on a quarter mile drag!!

They are bloody quick but as many have said much prefer to have the scoob, and with the extra saving, you could easily build a scoob to humilate an audi driver

Just how powerfull are you talking, have you seen the 1/4 mile times for a PPP'd MY05 compared to a RS6?

I've been in an RS6 and I promise you that they would murder an Impreza in pretty much any area of driving. It was so fast it made me sick....dizzy even.

The first turbo is maybe Impreza power but then the second one kicks in and it truly is scary.

Oh yeah, I know this is an Impreza based forum and I myself own one but it is getting silly now. Our cars are great but we shouldn't compare them to cars like the RS6 as its like comparing chalk and cheese.

The RS6 will truly batter pretty much any car on the road nevermind just Impreza's.

Nope...RS6 would destroy most scoobs and its limited to 155 but the RS6+ wouldn't even notice he had driven past you

The only figures I've seen for the RS6 12.8secs 1/4mile.

Not too much for a v lightly tuned classic STi to deal with on the dragstip.

The AutoBahn may be a different story though

Guy near me has one and let me have a shot one day. I had a ppp wagon at the time. I drove it up one of the military roads here and just about sh$t myself at the speed of the thing. He had a go at the Scoob and said "not bad". Said it all really. Only drawback with them being the price although you can pick up S4 avants for 15k without star trek mileages (not many though)

The RS6 has to be one of the best all round cars you can get, safe, fast, high spec, space, cheap (ish) and not going to get you noticed too much.

Oh Dear....

I see threads on here saying:

'Some Nova tried to race me, what an idiot' and then you all slag the nova driver off.

Now we have a scooby driver trying to race an RS6.

No doubt he'll be on the RS6 BBS 'Some Scooby tried to race me'...

Scoobys are great fun cars, but you are just going to look silly if you try and race RS6's, M5's etc in a rolling start straight line!

For £78,000 ill say it should be faster than a scoob.
Rs6 500bhp twin turbo V8 is faster by 1/10 of a second 0-60 than a ferrari modena I know somebody who has both!
