Default Anyone seen / used this car cleaning stuff..

Been sent this link by a mate, but I'm always weary of this kind of 'novelty' products. Anyone else seen / used it?? What's it like cos I hate drying the car, its the worst bit...

Its costing about £20 until 23/03/05 then goes up to £25. Available in Sainsbury's and I've seen it in Asda, suppose it will be everywhere by now..

I know the problem with water spots drying on, I hate drying it though hence looking for a lazy solution.

So you seen it used then? What's it like? Does it do what it says?

Stop being lazy.... your car is probably the 2nd most expensive item after the house...

Wash it by hand and dry it off...
Either that or scratch your paint...

Up to you tho!

What you on about this is basically hand washing but you are not using a bucket which collects all the old dirt in the water which you put the sponge back in. also you will be drying off the car with out need of a chamois or squeegee so much less potential for scratching the paint I'd think. Did you even look at it - this thing looks pretty good, for 20 notes I'll give it ago. Not sure how often the water filter will need changing as I have mega hard water though.

Cool

OK I've bought this now couldn't see it in Tesco but they had it in ASDA at £19.98. I don't think it will replace my £100 worth of Wax Wizard gear for the scoob but I think it should do an accepatble job with removal of a lot of hassle. In other words, just get the hosepipe out, grab a sponge and off you go, no need to cart a bucket of water through the house and then dry off and polish finished so in probably 10-15 mins could have quite a nice looking car eg for the missus's car. Normally I don't bother cleaning this by hand as a couple of hours on the scoob normally has me pooped. Hers goes too the car wash as there is no point just giving it a quick sponge down because unless done properly the water marks look terrible. Anyway that should save me the odd £5 the carwash costs.

The down side though.......the water filter deionised rinser cartridge thing only does 3 washes and I couldn't see any replacements for sale and no idea how much they will cost. Those ones water filters in the kitchen are not cheap though so I reckon this could be £3-5 a pop at a guess, that'll soon add up.

Anyway, if its good enough for Petter it'll probably do me for a bit.
