Looks awesome

As the others have said de-tango ASAP!!!

Do's and Don'ts. (I take it this is your first Scoob?)
Always run on Optimax minimum (though you should run it on Octane booster aswell)
Always warm it up before thrashing it.
Always cool it down after a thrash. (leave it to tick over for a minute or 2 or drive off boost for the last couple of miles)
Do not scrimp on servicing and tyres.
Do take care when driving it. Scoobs have more grip than most cars but when it lets go it will be a big one!!!

Do Enjoy it We all do

1st impreza yes, had turbo car before though so i'm aware of leeting it warm up/cool down etc

A bit more reading on the DCCD would be nice....

Water Spray - the auto function.... is that pressure operated or just a squirt every x seconds?

Yes, Its from Kye.... quite expensive but it is very clean....

Thought I recognised it, it was there when I bought my Type R.

I hope you knocked him down a grand.

Nice cars, terrible customer service and attitude.

Have fun

Thats exactly how he was with me, like he didnt want to sell me the car!! I bought a V5 Type R and probably paid a bit more than I should of done and that was after I knocked him by £1000!!!!

The guy is weird.

The turbo on mine is a VF28, not certain if its the same but I think it may be.

You'll need the Knocklink (display unit), sensor and wiring.

Great looking car and a genuine one for a change! From the pics, it has all the right bits in the right places and as long as the GC8 number matches, you've got yourself a good car. Mine is an STI 3 and has no mods other than the back box and centre cat. I'd suggest you do no mods and keep it original, will be worth much more when you come to sell it. Once you've been up against some nice motors like M3's, 911's etc and blown them away, you'll realise there's no need for mods really! Most people on here don't realise just how fast the later STI's are, you'll love it.

One last thing, the 0-60 on the type R should be around 4.3 secs (based on 100 RON fuel) and you should easily do mid 12's on the quater mile, once you've learnt the car. Remember, the redline is 8,250rpm but you never need to go over 7,000rpm before changing gear and going back into the maximum torque band. Saves the engine blowing too!

PS how much was it?

thanks

Not planning anything at the moment....its under warranty for the first 6 months anyway so dont want to mess that up.

Unfortunately insurance is proving to be a bit of a problem LOL...should have maybe thought about that before buying it!!!! Sure I'll get it sorted before picking up the car though

TBH....I don't think my bank account will let me do any modding for a while now!!!!
But I'm happy with it as it is at the moment...so no need for it really
...and it'll be a hell of a lot faster than my last car anyway!!!

Can't wait to pick it up
