Default Anyone claimed on warantee for a windscreen??

My screen cracked this morning from virtualy the passenger side all the way to the drivers side apillar. When i looked at the screen to find the the bast@rd stone chip that started the crack off, all i could find was a tiny pin ***** that was about .25mm deep. I know a chip will start cracks off but this seems so small, it makes me wonder if the screen was defective in the first place.

Warranty won't cover it as it's nigh on impossible to prove it was down to a manufacturing defect. Grit yer teeth and use your insurance, and be very very glad you're not paying for the whole lot!

Austin,
Just a thought but I wonder if you could get hold of a heated front screen for the scoob ? that would be a good upgrade to the standard one.
I have not heard of anyone having one but maybe one of the windscreen supplies may be able to aquire one ??
Might be impossible but it is worth investigating.
