Default 04 WRX Whinning Noise

I have seen the various posts regarding this issue, none have come up with a definitive answer.

Mine occurrs at exactly 68 MPH and is dammed annoying, can easily be heard above the stereo playing at normal levels. Will ask my dealer to sort it out at the 10,000 mile service. Just wondering if anyone has an answer, i think it must be wind on the outside body work. Can't really pin down the noise source, I think it is comming from the passenger side although my wife sitting in the passenger seat can't hear it as clearly as me. She did mention the other day when she was driving the car she could clearly hear this low pitched whine at 68 MPH.

Rgds

I have a similar thing on my bug eye, i took it to the dealers yesterday and found out what it was. The rear diff bearing was worn, i dont think its that expensive to fix, if you have a warrenty it should cover it.
