engine collected 20/1/05, very exciting news harvey.
Hope it all works out to your satisfaction.
Interesting and individual engine configuration. Can't wait to see the results.
Good luck with the targets. , it will be frightening to watch on the rollers with the boost levels I imagine are needed, I know I whinced every time mine was run at full bore.
Keep up the good work.

Harvey,
Does you back side fluctuate when the car is on the rollers..... I know mine did when I ran the RS500 on them. 2.3bar and over 500bhp through the rear wheels, with me and someone else stuck in the boot to ensure it dont slip is an experience I will never forget! The noise the old Garret T04E made on full chat was like the loudest hoover you have ever heard!
Good luck with your mission.
Regards,
Shaun.

The standard turbo on the spec C is more than capable of 400bhp. Its a better turbo by far than the 22B. I am running at 1.6Bar, and 0-60 is sub 4 secs with a top speed of over 180mph (indicated)

you will only get 350 bhp out of the s202 turbo
0-60 under 4 secs ? yes
180 mph ? no
you are expecting a bit too much
i have had mine on the r/road and 350 bhp is the max

I could just tell by the posts above that the 400bhp S202 (from the standard turbo.... he he) would have those god awful rear lights.
Wicked man..... i'll check ya at McDs. I'm out
Tony.

had my s202 tuned at RCM and the engine internals and motec are capable of going to 600 bhp + but at the moment the turbo is holding the car back at 350 bhp which is is why i know mr joolz figures are a bit ott

Not content to have your car laughed at on at least two other threads, you seem intent on starting a third.
You obviously have a low self esteem and crave attention
As for 400bhp and 180mph, I laugh in your general direction.
you cannot honestly expect to start threads like this and then get offended when people call bullsh1t.

That S202 is awful, what a waste of a great car.
As if the rear lights weren't bad enough but that interior.
Personally i would like to know exactly which internal RCM think are good enough for 600bhp, as I dont believe any block is good enough for that.
No one has yet proven to be that four suboptimally sized bearings can withstand that kind of punishment, at least for an appreciable amount of time.

Only just seen page 1. Cheers Shaun. It is probably more awesome for the spectators as I am usually in the front passenger seat trying to log boost, temps, IDCs etc etc and I have never found the experience stressful. Sometimes frustrating and fortunately, often rewarding.
Adam: When we were developing the last engine we ran at 2.2 bar for a while, without any problems but as time went on we ran, typically at 1.8 bar. Not a lot in relation to its capability. I doubt the new engine will ever see 2 bar.
