Default WHERE? Full alignment / geometry

Hi guys

Car scrubbing inside of front tyres and so took it for alignment. Was OK but apparently camber/castor/toe-in/toe-out whatever needs doing and much to my surprise I have just found out that most tyre shops can't do this - they only do alignment.

I am South Northants/North Oxfordshire. Any idea where I can take it?
Daventry/Banbury way...

Thanks!

Yes Prodrivbe VERY local but it was my understanding that I couldn't go there??
TSL & Powerstation are both around 1 1/2 hrs away which was a bit more than I wanted to travel but may just have to.. Perhaps get a rolling road done while I was there?

I was up there the other day, and I believe Tyres Northampton now do 4 wheel alignment.

Ask Mark or Malc on 01604 588599

I was going to take my car to Powerstation (once I change my wheel bearing), but if Tyres Northampton can do a good geometry set up then I will go there instead.

Scoobydood, let me know where you end up taking it.

Powerstation have their own particular setup for impreza's, not the factory settings you have when you buy the car.

If you have the classic they also do the bumpsteer mod too.

I drove from Leeds to Cheltenham to have my suspension set up by Powerstation.

Eibach Pro Springs
Whiteline rear ARB and solid droplinks
Bumpsteer mod
full powerstation geometry setup

Transformed the handling for the better

So...anyone recommend anyone little more friendly?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that little lot set you back?

Cheers

Just had a chat with Powerstation http://www.powerstation.org.uk/

Very Helpfull...

Bumpsteer Mod, including full tracking for £120+ vat, 2 hour job.

Or

Prodrive tracking for £60+ vat, compensates for the Bumpersteer..

So on my next visit to Leeds, i will drop by Powerstation and get the Bumpersteer Mod, as i have heard plenty of things about it..

What is the bumpsteer mod and is it worth getting done instead of ordinary tracking?

Do a search, there were some links that explained it..

Sounded quite interesting, it reduces the under steer...

I had already done a search and couldn't see anything, which is why I asked.

Thanks

Bump steer basically means that when you go round, for example a left hand bend, the right hand front spring is in compression - when this happens the Impreza, by default ,toes-out the tyre causing understeer (because its easier to correct than oversteer). The bump steer mod basically stops the tyre from toeing-out. I bow to greater knowledge on this subject, this is just what I've learned here !
