Angry money back?

I recently had an alarm ecu issue which made my car cut out whilst driving...after a week or so at the local dealer (and a few irate calls to Subaru UK), they diagnosed the problem as the alarm ecu and replaced it for £155 inc labour. I paid the dealer but as mine is a MY00 and the alarm ecu is a know issue I'm going to demand a refund from Subaru UK. I have no beef with the dealer as the tech guys were very helpful so don't want to create problems for them but am deeply pi$$ed about having to pay for a dangerous (engine cutting out on the right hand lane of the M25 in rush hour ), know issue that should have been resolved in a recall....

Anyone had any similar incidents and if so how did you play it???

Cheers,ian

I played it very slowly, judge the mood and work within the confines of your mentality.

Call Trading Standards, they will tell you where you stand, and offer standard legal letters to help you claim, without upsetting anyone or stepping outside the law.

Worked for me with a Subaru dealer and poor workmanship / knowledge etc.
