Question The end of the warranty!

My car is 5 years old in May 2005, end of the line for my warranty

Now, this leaves me open to source my servicing at an independant - any good places around Reading/Newbury/Basingstoke?

I reckon that I can do the 6 monthly oil changes - just need to pop it in for its yearly (plugs, fluids, cambelt, etc.)? What do you lot do?

A hand Job for a Bob?

I've got access to a large hanger with a 4-post lift and all the gear, so an oil change should (even for an old fella like me, be pretty simple?)

I have renewed my warranty with subaru for the 6th year (and 67000 miles) at the invite of Subaru warranty services, the 60,000 mile cut off no longer stands. so it's available if you want to continue with the makers warranty.

They quoted me £450 for an extra year ......... seems a lot?

But, then again, my car has just been started and run straight after an oil change ( the mechanics didn't remove the crank sensor and spin it over first ) so my engine is probably about to melt!?
