Default 3 year service costs???

What's the average price for a 3 year (02 plate) service?? Been quoted £600 by my local main dealer. Am I being turned over?

i take it your car is 3 years old? not 6 years old which gets hit with the double whammy of a fluid change+cambelt?

if just 3 year i paid about £450 (this is on a classic shape, don't know if new shapes are different), if it's the 6 year one then that's about the figure i'm gonna get shafted for

try supplying your own oil, sparkplugs etc to get the cost down (most garages are ok with this) and a performance panel air filter will last ages with a bit of cleaning every now and again so that will knock that one off the list aswell

I've been quoted approx £200 by a Subaru approved garage. Bit different to the £600 by the main dealer!! Is it really worth paying the extra for the main dealer stamp??

Mat Mc - which dealer was this. Best quote from a dealer I've had so far is £411.81 (inc vat and I'll be providing the oil).

Anyone else recommend a good dealer who can beat this price?

I paid £450 last yr, just be sure to check exactly what the dealers are including in the service, they may not be like for like, I made lots of calls before mine, most were the same price, £411 ex the oil sounds about right to me...

Initially Thurlow Nunn which is in Kings Lynn and then I rang the dealer I normally used Donalds of Peterborough. They then matched it. This was for the 30000 mile service.

I thought sod that and chopped it in and got a vRS though!

All the best

Matt

I just paid £540 for a 3 year service and MOT at my local dealer for my '02 STI. That included all the fluids, filters, etc and £42 for the MOT. It's got 25,000 miles on the clock if that makes any difference.

I just paid £414.95 for the 30k 3 year service on my 02 STi at the dealer in Richmond. This was inclusive of all parts and oils. Been told the next service 40k is only about £170ish and the cambelt service is cheaper than the 30k service i just had!
