Thumbs up 3 Years Free Servicing

Subaru are doing the 3 years (30k) free servicing again on ALL new vehicles registered between 1st Feb and 30th April 2005.

Got this deal on MY04 WRX last June and does save quite a bit of money

Termpting offer -- anyone any idea how much you stand to save over 30,000 miles? (Obviously it's going to vary from dealer to dealer, so just an approximate figure.)

Thanks.

Rough estimate ;

Servicing worth £750
Subaru UK give the dealers £500 towards servicing costs and dealers put the price up by £250 as from 1st Feb to break even.

I noticed in the same advert that the MY05 STI is now £26,500 a £505 increase.
Is this old news?

Sorry this is off topic.

£26,500 is stupid money, you only have to look at the for sale section to see 18 month old STi's with a PPP being sold for £17k - £18k.

Why do people buy brand new cars when you lose *so much* money?

Same reason I bought mine new - didn't like the idea of someone 'running-in' my car for me (especially as they may have known that they will move it on in 18months time!)

Any other car and I would agree - but an Impreza Turbo? Nah.....it simply MUST be 'run-in' properly and doing it yourself means you know its done!

New doesn't seem so stupid if you keep it for 12 years (and the care and attention lavished on it in its early days then pays dividends!)

I know what you mean.
Any car that I've owned from new have been treated with TLC. The next owner gets a great car. However, that cannot be said of all secondhand cars can it?

Cool STi Prices.

yes but isn't the NEW 05 Sti different to the 04 model. DCCD / Wider track / Later dash etc etc. I'm still looking for the best deal on a NEW Sti for the above reasons but if someone can find an 04 secondhand Sti with ECCD let me know so I can part with my cash. The best price I have had so far is £23558.00 on the road for a brand new UK car (Not Import), this is from uk-car-discount.co.uk. I'de be interested if anyone else has had any dealings with them. So far they seem very helpfull.
