Default Blitz or Ninja ??????

I am currently wanting to get a new BB for my scoob. At the moment it's still got the standard dual zorst on it and I want something with a bit of umph

Can't make up my mind between these two can anyone help me decide or even have other suggestions.

Also would you recommend a de-cat or not bother ??????

Could it become an annoying noise after a while though. Do quite a bit of motorway driving

If you do a lot of motorway work i would go for the ninja, not too loud but you still get the flat 4 burble

The Ninja is no where near the Blitz sound, but very nice all the same.

I had a Prodrive BB and de-cat centre on my old MY99 which was OK, but the Ninja on my MY04 (on it's own) is louder

Drive the Scoob sensibly and it just thuds along, give it some 'heavy right foot' action and the Ninja sometimes turns heads.

I picked mine up new for a shade over £200 (inc SIDC discount) Pound for pound IMHO it's a top back box.

Only downside is it hangs a little too low on the MY03/04/05, but I'm sure a tweak to the hangers could sort that out.

Here's a Pic...

Well, the Blitz without the Bung would kill your hearing eventually I think

It is actually so loud and deep that I had to think 2wice about revving about 3000rpm, in case there is old bill in the surrounding vicinity..

With the bung in its ok, unless I put down the windows…though otherwise looks great…

De-cat, will also give you performance increase..

Cost wise, I think it cost me near £700 for the exhaust, De-cat down pipe and fitting including gaskits.

Pros -

Releases some power
Faster spool up
Is the first real step on the way to more power
It's a lot louder
It won't rust

Cons -

Costs more than a bb alone
MOT
You are dirtying the skies
It's a lot louder

Can't really tell you whether you should or shouldn't . . . . . . . . .
What do you want from the exhaust?
What else are you going to do to the car?

Where's it all going Gav? Where man? WHERE?

I agree, Ninja alone is great alround, now i've had resonator pipe off as well, it is louder and gets a few pops as well, even with the cat still in place!!!

Planning to take off the cat pipe soon to really top it off until i can go for full de-cat and remap.

Heard the Blitz and while it's great, i think it would get on your nerves!!

I remember following MONEY to a Surrey meet. He's certainly had a de-cat with a Blitz bb, possibly the full Nur Spec R system. The guy was setting off car alarms all the way there seriously loud!!

The wife would kill you!!

Default Ninja

I have a Ninja BB on my MY00, sounds just right, you won't regret it. I am thinking of going for the decat downpipe, as someone else has said, it gives e decent power hike +20bhp, I'm told...so dont forget to advise the insurance.

I've got a decat uppipe, decat downpipe, kept the last cat & resonator box & a ninja backbox, very nice sound not too loud on the motorway and it will pass a emissions check as i went to a MOT station and had them check it for me.

ive got the ninja system... sounds greattttt..

i only had the bb and the centre done first which was good ... but the difference it made by having the front decat pipe was incredable......

worth every penny...

go to the scoobyworld website and you can hear the exhaust on the media player
