I imagine most people intend to, but they're distracted by corners, stereos, etc. I've often only had time to wave at the rear wheels of the passing scoob due to (mostly driving) distractions.

About 1 in 3 wave round my way.
When they do wave it's usually UK cars !
Neil - UK car - Link ECU, P1 front seats, ex P1 gold alloys, Sti boost gauge, HKS induction filter - attempting to become semi-PUKKA !

Ha, ha, ha. You nurk. They're all imported. They don't make 'em here.
I wave and I don't care who knows it. Sports seem to seldom acknowledge my presence. GLs, tchoh, an embarassment!
I even wave at pedestrians sometimes like I know them just so they can agonise for days over "who the heck was that".

I wave, flash lights (or sometimes wash the screen - due to stalks being the other way round on previous Scooby - still haven't quite got the hang of it - nice clear screen though!).
I'd say at least 95% wave/flash back - love it!

I was headed over to Wales the other week.
I had 2 bikes on the roof, and once theyd stopped laughing, I had a wave from 2 scoobs I passed... one on M25, one on M4.
I guess roof bars and bikes on a turbo saloon are quite rare
James.

Most wave/flash on Wirral, in fact had the biggest wave I've ever seen the other week, the guy was practically out of his car!!(silver WRX) not seen it again so I think he may have been visiting.
I was in N.Wales on Tuesday and saw about five scoobies but not one wave
Actually a guy in a blue 2DR STi might have waved but I was to busy dreaming of owning it nice car mate
Graham

I wave but sometimes the girl at the other end of the bar ingores me Or comes over and gives me one hard Slap (Ouch)
Where I live most drivers wave, funny how the import drivers seem to be the main ones that wave as there are so many UK Company Car owners out there who haven't a clue.

My good lady is in the local drug squad and I'm often let on to by wooden-tops ( no offence PC'S )and C.I.D, then they feel daft when they realise it's not her.....plus due to the unusual colour of my scoob a lot of people are still in shock before they've had time to respond.........should've gone for a more mundane colour like silver,or grey or red or black or white or blue or green ( is that them all.....he!..he! ) sorry all.

I always try to wave or flash lights.
Problem is, scoob drivers in Edinburgh rarely wave back.
The last guy who waved back was driving a '95 ish white WRX and gave me a "Wow - waving! what a novelty!" look.
Normally I get ignored and feel like an idiot!
Mind you, I probably am an idiot...

Tang - nah not me - up around Silverstone that day
Barry K - you should be a comedian - or are you already?
I meant sti/wrx (PUKKA) versus the cars they dont want in Japan (e.g. UK Subaru turbo) - but I suspect the cars in the UK are down tuned for crap fuel reasons

I wave, SuzyQ (usually in the passenger seat) waves, Jam and Ali wave (even though you can't see them because of the tinted windows) and Maggie, sometimes, not always, barks
So there
seriously though, I do tend to wave at scoobys, turbo or not, and I usually get waves back, and the occasional flash. I try to look for SIDC stickers as this might mean they 'know the unwritten law' but I know that not everyone is SIDC, or has the stickers on the car, though I do wear the tax disc holder with pride
I do get the odd look from scooby owners who wonder what is that prat doing, but hey, I'm mad!

I usually manage a wave, but only get one back on a handful of occasions. Passed a Sport on the motorway tonight, grinning outta the passanger window as I went, but the guy ignored me. Maybe it was the grin!
Talking of Bristol . . . frequently see a red turbo hammering down the Portway in the mornings, and also a silver WRX wagon in the centre - anybody here? I'm in the silver MY00 if its you!

I still wave - most people respond (even had a wave from a P1 ).
Justin - still haven't seen your car - what have you done with it?

I wave & flash @ all scoobs when in mine
I wave @ all scoobs when on my bike
(To the point of actually slowing down & waving )
I think about waving @ all scoobs when in the Vectra Diesel commuter but hardly ever do
When are "ScoobyNet" stickers coming out? Then I can plaster the Vectra & feel one of the family again

Steve Mc,
I've often been called a clown, but rarely a comedian, ha, ha!
I knew what you meant, it's the old hierarchy thing ( I know it's been discussed before) like with bikes, guy on a 1300cc Honda or whatever wouldn't want to knowingly acknowledge "******" on CZ 175. So it seems to go with cars. When I had an MGB GT years ago, all MG cars did the acknowledgment thing, but Midget drivers tended to be less forthcoming than their larger cousins. (All puns intended and verified).
See you at Northern Meet 4. Unless you are at the Bristol address when it's on. And I don't care if you imported your car, I will still speak to you! That's always assuming you'll lower yourself (not because I am a midget driver!) to speak to me.

I usualy wave when I see another scooby. Problem is I am sometimes in my wifes 206 and forget. Feel a bit stupid then.
Bal, I usualy drive around the Wakefield/Leeds area so I may see you about.
Silver turbowagon P820 ERX.
