Insurance
Well done m8, You've made the right choice, stick with the scoob, i know its only a sport but its still a scoob, wish i could have had one when i was only 17,
bet your mates are jealous though.Don't mess about in it,look after it,keep your licence clean and it wont be long before you can afford a WRX Turbo.now that is something to look forward to. Dont let your mates goad you into driving fast, because they dont have to pay the insurance.Happy motoring.

Personally, I can think of far nicer cars that you could be driving around in at 17 - especially considering the fact that you can afford that much for insurance...
No doubt i'll be slated for this, but *why*?!
Impreza's are hardly renowned for being particularly good looking cars - their main appeal is the performance per £ that the turbo offers. Granted, it's your decision, but I would think seriously about why you want a (fairly) boring saloon car at 17 that's no doubt going to cost you the earth...
Just my 2p - flame suit (well and truly) on
Kelvin.

For every day motoring you could do a lot worse, I know, I drove a GL for 8 yrs/ 120k miles. look after it and it will never let you down and you can make quite adequate progress with no drama. Admitedly mine had the grill, spoiler and wheels from the Turbo so it did look alot better than the standard car.
Any one seen M237KJW around, like to know its gone to a good home!
Look forward to the day you can upgrade to a WRX or similar......
