I'm pretty sure the £2k price includes fitting.
I got my 05 WRX PPP'd today and managed to negotiate getting it fitted plus the first service all in for £1450 - supposed to be £1600 for the PPP alone

Just ordered it for mine, £2k including fitting. They did say that their margins were less than 10% so they couldn't apply any discounts.

Exclamation PPP fitting charge for MY04 STi UK

dealer in newcastle u tyne, wants to charge £100 for fitting on top of £2k for PPP, even when argued about cost shown as "including fitting" on scooby web site. dealer claims will get proof from prodrive that £2k excludes fitting...

sounds like someone's takin the michael. (no offence intended to any micky's out there!)

I've just had my local dealer tell me that the PPP parts for an 03 STi are £1745.31 + VAT (£2050.74) and that there will a fitting charge on top of that but the guy who can give me that figure is out to lunch! I think they must all be out to lunch to charge prices like that!

It £1995 including fitting for the STI PPP.
The dealers get allowed 2 hours labour for fitting the PPP.

It will be interesting to see how much they try and charge me for the fitting. I shall obviously mention that it should be £1995 all in but I don't hold out much hope.

Then it'll be a case of trying the next nearest dealer.

Report them to Subaru UK & to Prodrive

Make sure you get it in writing, just ask for a written quotation

Result!

The service manager has just called me back confirming that the price is £1995. He was most confused when I told him someone from his parts department had quoted me different.

Now all I have to do is wait 3 weeks.

I have now checked with 5 other dealers in the N/East and only one of them is quoting an extra for fitting PPP, therefore i wont be takin it to their establishment, shame as its the dealer i bought the car from in the first place! so much for loyalty to existing customers!

Still only got charged the £1995

There is some confusion on the website, as it states "£ 1995.00 (including fitting) (inc. VAT, exc. Fitting - unless otherwise stated above)" At first it includes fitting, then when it states it includes VAT, it excludes fitting But, it does say it includes both at some point, so they are legally bound under sale of goods and false advertising laws, I think

STi PPP

WRX PPP

Doesn't the "unless otherwise stated above" relate to the "including fitting" comment thus cancelling out the "exc. fitting"? Thats how I read it.

Could'nt you get a discount off the PPP? I got approx 7% off mine from Beechdales in Derby when I got my MY03 STI.

Some dealers will honour the SIDC 10% discount on a PPP. Makes a years memebership well worthwhile

start local & ring / email around. If u can save 10% (& the dealer wants your business at that discount) it is worth a few quid on calls & a few more quid on fuel / travelling imho

yeah did that, none of my local dealers wanted to know even if they did sidc discounts on other items, all starts getting a bit pointless when you consider travelling further away etc.

Mine is in wednesday and they reckon it'll be ready after lunch 3-4 hours max.

Reckon they must want to give yours a good long test.

Subaru's price of £1995 is always inc fitting. Anything over that and the dealer's trying it on IMHO.

As for discounts I'm not the only one who's been able to negotiate a price nearer £1600. If your dealer wont budge, go elsewhere.

Good garage. I bought my scooby from Marlborough in Isleworth, but only take my car to SGT now. Can't recomend them enough.

Oh yeah, and it should take a couple of hours max to fit, I fitted mine myself, and it took 2 hours and I don't have a lift or access to all the tools the garage does.
