Default BRAKES,DISC'S AND CLUTCH

Had a look at my front pads tonight,on my scoob. Which is a V7 STI Wagon, and the pads have only got about, 10mm, left on them. Also they are starting to sound very very slightly grindy(is that a word?). I replaced them last year, about 10k ago, with genuine subaru ones.Is this normal ? it seems a bit premature to me. My misses drives most of the time, so there's no aggressive braking going on.Oh by the way the brakes on the bugeye sti Wagons are the same as on the WRX, not the Brembo's. Who are the cheapest for a set of front pads and discs?. Also the misses reckons the clutch is starting to smell????. So again if it needs replacing, who's the cheapest..I'm not being tight, but i may be selling it, pretty soon and would like to get these done. At the same time i don't want any nasty cheap bits or oily monkey working on it.
