Money well spent my ****.

You could purchase an STi Type R V ltd £22,000 will get you a spanker. Personally I would rather have this car than a P1 anyway and then you could go metal on extras, Leda, " sets of wheels one road one slicks, Motec, BremAP 6 potters, VF22, stronger internals, Recaros and all sorts. You would have an all conquering kick *** car then. You could even buy a group A engine.

Anyone seen the new autocar. article on the new upgrade for the P1, the WR kit.

for just over 6K you can WR your P1 to have
225/35 18" wheels + pzeros
backbox (looks like a normal prodrive PPP backbox)
brakes
WR badge

autocars comment was that the whole package is money well spent.

any comments?

Lemme get this straight - this thing is available for 6k on top of a 35k car making a total of 41k????

Hmmm maybe Evo RSR 450 or 22B might be a better bet for that money.

Question

Just the brakes, wheels & backbox?

Individually those parts are available for under 4k (wheels&tyres = 2k, brakes=1.5k, backbox= < 500UKP) from the P1 accessory list....

So why 2k more when bought as a package? Surely not the badge alone?

Was there no mention of power increase?

Cheers
Alastair

I read the article in a smoke break, so the above was pretty much all I remembered.

approx £6300 for the kit
£31.5K for a P1

I'm sure I would have seen engine upgrade info (ECU, etc) if it was there.

they did say that compared to the P1 WR, the EVO Vi did feel 10K cheaper and that it was the first to definitely outshine the evo. nice compliment.

Thanks Stephen - now it makes sense!

Presume they are using the Recaros and not the leather option from the accessory list...

Cool

The people at ProDrive wouldn't be trying to recoup some of their losses on the masses of unsold P1's would they

Only speculation mind.....

Anyone noticed the intercooler on the engine picture?

Is that water sat in the vanes of the matrix, or is it damage from foreign objects entering the intake??

Sod the rest, I'll just take the Wheels/Tyres and Brakes!

Total pain in the **** that they are taking so long rolling this out too! I'm sure a few of the early P1 buyers would've gone for the pack, but have had to buy bits seperately, and so are going to miss out on getting the WR badge.
Happier with my decision to cancel the P1 every day! (Even if I did end up spending more money ultimately d'oh!)
