STI MY04 - Need more power!
I have now got the first 1000 miles out of the way and started to exploit the cars true potential. However, the other day coming off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway, I came up behind a new shape BMW 530d (not at any great speed) who looked in his mirror and proceeded to put his foot down and pull away. After a few seconds deciding whether to teach them a lesson, I decided to follow and show them that you shouldn't try to pull away from an STI.
To my horror I couldn't gain any car lengths on them WTF! I wouldn't have minded if it was an M5, but a flaming diesel!
Anyway I have decided to PPP or go with the TSL333. I believe the PPP costs £1900, but what sort of price is the TSL333? Is the extra 30 bhp worth the loss of warranty? Any views on either would be greatly appreciated.

After a 1000 miles, the engine is still very tight. Also you'd be surprised at how much power and esp torque you need to 'blow' another car away.
Since it's still under warranty the PPP should be your first port of call. Try and get a test drive, after you've done a few more K miles.

you really need to let the egine get a few more miles on it and remember 6 gears-to keep in power band ie >4000rpm,530d will have loads of torque at low rev range and if you were off boost-no chance.
once the engine is loosened up think warranty or tsl,tsl cheaper and more effective and you get mapped by caros sainz's ex mapper!
