write a letter to the mag saying that you're angry etc.
with your pic and car,
they will need to print an appology, an take the **** of frank
you could also say that you will be seeking legal advice, for printing number plate etc. without consent,

Had this on autotrader, bought my legnum vr4 of a garage, paid etc, couple of weeks later my new car appears on someone elses advert on autotrader.
phoned him and asked him about the car and he said it was the one in the pics, it's got none standard wheels, i told him that was funny as the pictured car was sat in my garage!
he then said it was a library pic, i asked him if he had the permission of the garage and said he didn't need it, i phoned the garage and told them, they contacted autotrader and they removed the ad.

sorry it's all lower case but my 8 month old baby boy is helping me type sat on my knee!!!!

Go for compensation, a guy I knew had to do this with Piper a few years ago, they nicked a picture of his car " RS Turbo" from a mag shoot that he had had done and were using in in their adds "full page glossy ones" you could even see him driving it so he phoned Piper and threatened legal action a couple of days later he got a big box of goodies for his RST, new cam/pulley/exhaust etc etc.
