Power to weight is so, so important.Theres big cars and then theres big heavy cars.body kits look nice but it doesnt make you go quicker. the new m3 is 343 horsepower but weighs 1.6tonnes. My RA weighs just 1.2 tonne and only has 275 bhp.I raced one the other day from 0-110 mph, and i won just about.heres my theory.I can take off the power of the bmw over my 275(standard) and add it to mine.If there were a calculation, maybe 25%,(difference between 1.2 and 1.6 tonne) take my power 276 add 25% of that = 70 = 276+70=346bhp. so now a race between an m3 and a standard type RA would be quite similar.(yes it was)but then theres the close ratio gearbox,AWD etc................. so when i chip mine to 340bhp (same bhp as bmw) he will be left standing. any1 else agree?

Oh ffs... i'm getting sick of hearing people say they are going to 'chip' their car. I'd be very interested to hear how this 'chip' is going to give you 340bhp..... get real.

sorry tony. maybe i should have used a better word like tune to or modify to. im just showing my age. in my generation chip means increase power to.not just change the ecu to get silly bhp
