Unhappy Wrote my car off

End to a ****e day , went out for a spin with a couple of mates and did one litterally, plus a few rolls just for good measure. Note self shoot any walkers you see.

Comming down a lane, saw a dog leg corner lined it up with a walker to the left, then he crosses, so ultimate question, take out the walker or risk the left hand side with bank, me being me i took the bank, next thing i know i'm facing the other way sat the far side of the hedge with a smashed up car around me.

Walked away with a few bruises thank god, police turned up in force shovels at ready to scoop remains up so kinda gives away how bad it was.
Breathelised and the usual formalities of, what happened? are you ok? etc etc etc, bit of a lecture about driving safley, (not gonna gripe at that after what had happened) then we wont be taking it any further and gave me a document producer, all in all can't fault em made sure i was ok then left it at that, they aint all bad!!

For description of flips for score value speak to "The dogs", i think it must have been at least a 9.5!!!!

from an alive, very p'd off and shaken up Tidgy pud!!!!

Speeding nearly kills, see??!!

Glad you are OK, a warning signal - maybe??

Note to self should be, walkers = slow down and expect the unexpected!

New Scoobie? or more sedate transport?

Angry

Most accidents are caused by others doing the unexpected. eg went to lincoln yesterday and drove steady all the way down and back, back in leeds on the M1/M62/M621 junction and was in the inside lane following another car at a safe distance when this ***** in a renault came flying down the outside lane and realised he had nearly passed his turn off, so he decides to pull in front of me and brake, but he didn't anticipate the car in front of me slowing down to allow a car to join the motorway, hence one hell of a skid and not just on the road,me and the wife thought are days were numbered,If your on ere dick head wher did you pass youre test at the fairground?...powerman

police said to me 99 times out of a hundred you'll go round a corner fine then the hundredth time you'll do exactly the same but get caught out by something unexpected.

Yup. I always remember my driving instructor telling me to only drive as fast as the distance i could see to safely stop in.

wazza (SN/5-0 fed) told me to treat every blind/tight corner as though there might be a horse/pedestrian/parked car/motorbike on the wrong side of the white line...

The logic is sound.
makes you approach in a far less aggresive frame of mind..

Glad you came away undamaged Tidgy.

I did tell you to be carefull!!!.. when a scoob 'goes' it goes bad
it takes many years to learn to handle a scoob.... not weeks... something can always come out the bag you don't expect

This is why Scoobs are mans cars and not boys toys lol

Smart is the way foward now.. also you insurance will still love you when you tell them the smarts got a turbo.. albeit 599cc tho

I think you should resize the pics 'cause they are HUGE
Apart from that, it looks in a pretty sorry state. Looks like you were lucky.

Sorry to hear about this. Glad you're ok mate. Deffo a write off based on those pics! Still metal and plastic can be replaced, flesh and bones can't!

Lesson to us all here: expect the unexpected!

Best.
