Just had a quick chat with Jaycee, price is reasonable...Solo is £5 cheaper then the Origin b2, and does not require to be hard wired and yes has a built in Antenna.
Solo only requires a connection from the Cigarette lighter.
Though he has none in stock till the end of 1st week of January…so will be hopefully ordering one then…
Will put a thread up in group buys to see interest.

I have an Origin B2. It's a great GPS detector with an excellent database, updated at least twice a week. It has saved my licence, no doubt about it.
Highly recommended, even though mine (an early model) has had to be sent back for warranty repair a couple of times.
Here's a pic of my install, nice and free of exposed wiring, and no holes in the dash:

Just pop the clock out and route the wires through the hole, which is then covered by the B2 cradle. The B2 has a clock on it anyway, so nothing lost.
The GPS antenna sits on the far corner of the dash, passenger side. No problems with reception at all in the scoob. Go for the B2 Solo (wasn't available when I bought mine, unfortunately), and you won't even have the hassle of installing the separate antenna.
Installation of the wiring was a piece of cake. I used one of those 2-way cigarette lighter adapters with the input plug on the end of a piece of wire. I cut the input plug off and scotchlocked the +/- wires to the +/- wires going into the back of the car's cigarette lighter. Then it all just plugged together. There's plenty of space behind the stereo for all the wiring & plugs. This was on a 2001 bugeye, but other models should be similar.

GPS detectors come into their own if you frequently travel to areas you don't know very well. Every town has at least one sneakily-placed GATSO just waiting to catch out the unaware....

Just had this in from NavNow:
Please read the following text copied from the manufacturer's web-site:
------------------------------
All Origin Approved Resellers have gone through a selection process which
has demonstrated their eligibility and suitability to be a reseller in terms
of their size, outlook and the professionalism of their organisation in
general and customer service in particular.
What happens if an Origin product is bought from a non-approved reseller?
If an Origin product is bought from a non approved source, the purchaser
WILL NOT be eligible to receive any customer support from Origin
Technologies Limited post-purchase; furthermore, the product will only be
covered by a 28 day warranty, compared with the usual two year warranty on
products bought from Origin Approved Reseller.
--------------------------------------------
If you buy from one of these companies you will only get a 28 day warrenty
with the system. This means that should anything go wrong with your system
after 28 days from purchase you will have to stump up the cash for a new one
instead of it being replaced free of charge.
I will be happy to do one for you for £399 if you wish or you can risk it
with one of these other companies. The other thing to bear in mind is that
MNC group charge £10 delivery and a 2.5% credit card charge bringing the
price up to £357.25. Is it worth the risk for an extra £40?
Is Jaycee at Alpha Telecom on official Dealer?
