meets over xmas nw yr?
does any one know of any meets over christmas/nw year in south?
im new to all this as ive only had my scoob a month but would like to meet a few moor scoob owners.
ive heard af the ACE cafe,where is it and when is the best eves to go there?

Essex Scooby crew are having a meet on Saturday 1st January. (The Posers Cruise)
Meeting at 7:30pm at the Mayflower Industrial Estate (Tesco Car park) on the A127. Leave there at 8pm to convoy down into Southend and along the seafront. We do a few laps then all park up and have coffee, dohnuts etc.
Probably about 30 scoobs will turn up to this. Usually we have about 60+ attending this meet each month.

Come off the M25 at Junction 29 - signposted Southend A127
Take first exit after slip lane traffic lights to join A127
Continue straight for approx 5 miles until you come to a half roundabout - with a Mcdonalds on the left and a BP service on the right. Called the Fortune of War
Go straight over this half roundabout.
Continue straight ... in approx 2000 yards you will start to see large buildings on the right - one is called Visteon.
Keep going and branch left at the turning marked A132 Wickford. Before taking this turning you will see an industrial shopping complex on the right. with a McDonalds, KFC, Mothercare, Pizza hut, Curries - amoung others. (THIS IS THE COMPLEX THAT WE MEET ON)
Stay in the right hand lane and continue going around the roundabout (taking the 4th exit) back onto the A127 - the way you came.
Take the first left turn which will take you into the Mayflower complex. You will pass a KFC on the left.
Go straight over the roundabout - mcdonalds will be on your right.
Follow this road all the way round and you will see us all parked up in the tesco car park.
To get into the car park turn left where the petrol station is and follow the road round into the car park.

isnt cruising southend seafront a bit chavlike?
I grew up hating all the cruisers who went round and round, used to stop me actually getting across town, the seafront used to be the fastest route!
what happened to meeting up in a big pub car park, bonnets up chatting then going inside for a drink?

Adam ... southend cruising has been going on since the 70s. Actually mentioned in highlights of southend by the council.
Bonnets do go up at this meet mate. There are hundreds of people and cars there every saturday night and everybody gets the benefit out of seeing 60+ subarus convoy through and then park up.
No better place to go IMHO. You get ample parking for all the essex scooby crew plus you get to see awesome maxed motors and exotics, like TVRs Ferraris and the odd lambo.
