Just read that you had a cossie and your on about 200mph, sorry, nice spec'd cossie anyway, theres a cossie specialist near me PJ Motorsports and the owner there has hit 200mph in his 3dr cossie also got the number of scooby kills on his numberplate, the cheeky bugger.

Nice car Rod, nice site Nice power band as well
There are no Scoobies I know of that are anything but bench racers will touch you after 100 mph.
CRD and Andy have been in the low 10s. CRD on I believe a 2.2, but they were overwhelming the headgaskets. Andy on a 2.33, but "only" a GT30R, he has been thinking about a GT35.

Guys,
Just before this starts in to a war of worlds, Rod's car is the real deal and has been the FIRST Cosworth to hit OVER 200mph down at Bruntingthorpe test track.
I presume that Rod is looking for the quickest Scoob in the country so he can organise a magazine feature (with a few timings).
Regards,
Shaun.

i have a vid of a wagon doing it in 8.95secs
From memory, I've seen a few UK scoobs clocked in the 170s or so at shoot outs, but nothing even close to 200mph.

Rod, from what I know, there's not really any scoob out there could match your beast.

Im sure we are all car nuts so no point in an arguement, have driven an STi ver5 & handled well & was manic low down seemed to have very short gears.
To answer the above no other Cossie is close to 200 the Reyland Escort second with 194.8 , PJ is a friend & he would be amused at your claim. He is building a car to attempt 200 but at the mo i think his best is 173. An attempt on my record is being made next Tuesday. If it has the Power claimed the record will go, Tuesday will tell. Im back next year with more mods & more Power , over 800bhp.

PS. Hi Johnnie didnt realise you would be on here.
One guy on about overtaking speed.
The following were recorded at Brunters on the 200mph day so on 200mph gearing & 40psi in the tyres.
60-100 3.06
100-150 6.15
60-150 9.21
0-100 7.15
0-150 13.3
0-60 4.09 you guys would destroy that i agree but im RWD.
11.5 @ 138
Ive no idea what your cars can do so let me know. By the way the car is fully trimmed , looks standard & has no cage. I used it for work last week on the daily comute.
The 60-150 time is quicker than Rocket Ronnie recorded recently at Brunters of which im duly proud, as hes the King of the Hill as far as im concered with the best alround car.

My daily driver fully trimmed standard looking scoob will run the 1/4m in 10.5@136 so anything up to around 140mph and I'm a second in front of you Thats a few car lengths at that speed, then you would start to reel me in, however where I stay I usually encounter at least a little bend that needs me to back off a bit by this point and thats where it would get interesting
Let me know which circuit you have in mind for the race
Andy
PS there are scoobs around with 200bhp more than me but they're not straightliners either

On the move i think you would get a nasty shock & then a bend would appear & i would be fooked. My motor has incredible grip & handling for a Cossie but it aint a patch on your modern gear ,mines a straight line grunt machine i will leave the bendy bits to you lads. Nice to talk.
