I'd love to know what you youngsters in your twenties are paying for insurance.

So, how about a few examples, age, NCB, premium and the excess please.

25, 2 years ncb, £1600 ish. Excess is about £250. That's with class one business use. I did have a quote of £1300 but couldn't run with it as my other half was 22 at the time and she needed to be 25 to go on the policy as a named driver.

Thats not bad - count yourself lucky you don't live in N.Ireland as the insurance over here is a fecking disgrace.

I'm an old fart at 35, with full no claims, no business use etc driving an MY02 UK STI and its costing me £1300

Can I just say: YOU LUCKY BARSTEWARDS!!! :-)

You don't even want to know what I was driving when I was 19! :-S

Come to think of it, you also don't want to know how much I'm paying for insurance on a classic, and I'm 28!

Best wishes (grudgingly) :-)

So's mine. But for some reason insurance here is usually 50% more that mainland prices.
Doesn't make sense though as we're still park of the UK.

Well you've lost me!

We seem to have hijacked someone elses thread, sorry.

So how many other young people own their own WR1?
