Servicing!!!
Can Subaru dealers name any price they want for servicing or are they restricted to what they can charge?
Our local dealer quoted me £450+VAT for a 30k service for my 02 WRX!
A guy I know from work lives in London and has only paid £205 for his 20k service on his STI, and he asked for mine as an idea and was quoted £250.
Looking back at the service invoices from the guy that had it before me he paid £250 in Leicester.
Has anyone got any ideas?

30k is one of the 'big' services, so it will be more than your last one.
Do you know whether you're running 7 1/2k or 10k intervals on yours? Obviously, the cost will vary depending on whether it's an interim or major service.

I can see it being more but £200 sounds a lot!! Especially when somewhere in London is cheaper - everything in London is more expensive!!

Mine's a MY02, but as it's a Belgian import, it's still on the 7,500 intervals.
My 30k service was about £450 IIRC, with the recent 37,500 (minor) service coming in at about £350. But that did include new pads all round. So not too bad overall....

Agree with corradoboy. Scoobyclinic is definetly the place to go.
My 20K service was around £200 inc top spec oil and new P7 plugs.
Excellent service too.

Mine was £425 for the 30k or 3 year service, it is a big one. Would have been £450 but I didn't have the air filter done, they did the brake fluid change within this price. £450 is the standard dealer price book, I called 4 dealers to check although oddly one said that was ex VAT (as your guy has) dont think that is right.
If you do decide to go not Subaru, do check exactly what you are getting vs the scedule in your handbook, I found that there was not a massive difference with some of the specialists once you had added all the elements; oil, filter, gear and diff oils, air filter, plugs, coolant & fuel filter.. but its a matter of choice if you stick to Subaru or go to a specialst.
