Default Difference between a Spec C Ltd and a Spec C V-Ltd?

Or are they the same car?
Should they have a numbered plaque?

Also, how does the ride compare with say an STi IV?

Phil

AFAIK there is no Spec C V-Ltd

There is a

Spec C
Spec C Ltd

and now a Spec C WR

There used to be a.....

WRX V Limited and an STi V limited.

http://www.subaru.co.jp/impreza/v_limited/03/01.html

This had a numbered plaque, fancy gearknob, safari roof vent, adjustable suspension etc. Some of these parts have been carried over to the new Spec C WR.

As for the ride, go try it

From my experience the ride isn't that bad, the Spec C's can be noisy but that's part of the thrill. The modern chassis feels more taught.

HTH

As of right now, the line up is:

Spec C (17"), which is the stripped-out lightweight version for road use;
Spec C (16"), which is even more stripped out with cheap seats, 16" steel wheels and other bits that are intended to be thrown away as the car is prepared for competition;
Spec C Type RA, which replaces the now discontinued Spec C WR-Limited, and which puts back some electrical toys and adds adjustable suspension.

Thanks for the input. As Nathan knows, I am currently considering a Spec C ltd, but the ones available seem to be at opposite ends of the country, and the dealers seem to be fairly vague with their descriptions! So I'm just trying to find out as much as I can so that I can ask them semi-intelligent questions

So it looks like the ones described as "V-LTD" are out of the run of 555 rather than the 1,000 of the Spec C Limited.

Off to do more homework........

The V-LTD cars have special WRC swoosh graphics on the spoilers and bootlids. They also have SWRT on the fog covers opposed to STi. Makes them easier to spot.

The V-LTD is quite rare over here AFAIK.

Certainly Futurautos had a car they claimed was a V-LTD but is actually a Spec C Ltd. There website has now been ammended to show the correct model.

Andy remember that the new Spec C Type RA is a limited edition of only 300
