Unhappy Boot poblem, nolonger pops open.

The boot on my 02 STi used to pop open when the internal lever was used but recently this has stopped and the boot unlocks but does not pop open, any ideas as it can be useful when putting in all the childs kit etc not that its a major problem. My dealer can see any rpoblems other than I have the wrong boot springs, cant see how as they came with the car which I have had since new.

Boot sticking to the rubber seal possibly?
Try lubing them with a silicon based spray

Have you moved the little lever on the actual lock? as this disables the remote release

Thumbs up

If it unlocks but not pops up then i would say the silicone lube is a safe bet.

I know about the lever to stop the remote unlock, will try the cleaning the rubbers in that case.

But having said that it did seem to one day work and the next day it had stopped.
