My First WRX, running info please.
I pick up my first ever Subaru on Wednesday and cant wait.
One thing that confuses me though on here is knocklink info, and if you do or dont need one fitted.
I will be driving:-
MY02 WRX
WR Sport BackBox
Jetex Panel Filter
I will run the car on either 97 or super.
Am i safe running the car without a knocklink, sorry to ask a stupid question, but i am not clued up at all when it comes to knocklinks etc.
Thanks
Marc.

Is it a UK car, if so then a knocklink is prob not needed
If you have an import, then get one if you have not had a remap (and run octane booster)
The scooby seems prone to det, my EVO ran fine for many a mile, my GT4 the same, both imports designed to run on 100ron, but jap scoobs seems to blow up when run on our fuel
It tells you if you have detonation

Its a UK car, i should be safe without one then, if i had a full de-cat i would certainly fit a knocklink. I will be well aware though the first few weeks of driving.

Oh and welcome to the world of scoobs mate
just two words of advice mate
1 start saving because wether you have spare cash or not,you will start to mod the car further, and i bet very soon you will end up wanting a full de cat system then a re-mapp and so on.
2 figure out the search on subjects facility, as alot of repeated Questions are asked and may not always get a response.
have fun !
