I've had an HPI done in the past, dunno about the log book number and MOT number mate but they definitely need the chassis number to do the check so could be OK.

Why not give HPI a quick call to confirm what info they ask for??

In fact on their website, if you go to the buy online section, it says;

Trouble with just the reg no is plates can be changed. If i were to give you my number it would come back clear although i have hpi on it cos I've changed the reg no. So the chassis no is the only 100% way of doing it.

When I did a HPi check they required the chassis number to make sure it matches the reg number

Wink

yeah they need all of that, when i went a bought my wrx and called up hpi they asked for mot number and log book number is because there are so many fake mot cert. around you will not believe it trust me? and that goes for the same with the log book aswell, sometimes they dont have the numbers themself (hpi that is) they up date there system so next time its correct. I remeber they asked the colour, condition and i thought they were going to ask WHAT COLOUR UNDERWEAR IS THE SELLER WEARING? it does get abit long and annoying for the saler but for the buyer you can just enjoy the look on the sallers face? LOL dont worry because there is nothing to worry about?
