Air Con Retrofitted?
Hi
Have a 1998 Imprezza Turbo (last of the decent UK non special edition ones). Does anyone know of anyone that can fit an Air Con unit to it (at a reasonable price)? Like a fool I chose the Sun Roof instead when I bought it and have paid the price in sweat ever since....
Thanks

no I reckon its not too difficult. To take mine off all that I will do is it bring it to a air-con place for de-gassing, then I will unbolt the parts. I wont be asking a lot, it functions perfectly but I never use it.

One of the things about air con is this
(well two actually)
If you are removing air con, and selling on, some kind of deal ideally needs to be done on the following items
Heater Matrix exchange, otherwise the buyer is left having to source a matrix seperate, and secondly the Air Con Pump Bracket will need to be exchanged too, otherwise again the buyer will be left needing a combined air con pump/alternator bracket
and dont just cut your air con belts off, they are nearly 40 quid from a dealer !!!
oh the rubber grommit through the bulkhead will need exchanging too
I dont mind helping someone retrofitting their air con, if they are local

I retro fitted to my MY94 a while ago, I sourced the kit from Glenburgie Subaru for c.£250 all in. It's easy to fit, as long as you have all the bits main grief is getting the correct dash switch as the JDM cars have CC.
I have the main dealer instructions somewhere, PM me you mail address if you want them.
