if subaru or prodrive dont fit it you would not have any warranty anyway
and i dont think either would fit 2nd hand parts

so you may as well fit cheaper third party parts in you dont mind losing warranty

I don't think a dump valve is a good idea as that will knacker your warranty and to be honest if you can't afford to shell out for the PPP i'm guessing you may not be able to cover the cost of a new engine if you mod the car and blow the warranty.

If i were you i'd enjoy the car as is for now whilst saving up for the PPP. Oh and with the PPP your insurance is likely to go up a bit as well.

There's nothing wrong with being tight!

I've never seen the whole pack up for sale 2nd hand but the odd bits do crop up from time to time on here.

Personally i'd hang on a bit then have it done at the dealers. you may get a slight discount on the PPP as you bought the car from them.

For a PPP?

There was a thread on here a month or so ago about how much people got off the pack, i think 10% was the most.

People on here have said they have got better gains from aftermarket parts. The ppp is about £200-300 more than aftermarket with the benefit of the warrenty as you say.

cossy i got ppp for 1800 (04 sti) quid be sure to ask for the old bits back you can sell them on e bay or here
i saw the back box go for 170 quid on e bay although i sold mine for much less
your old fuel pump is an upgrade to the wrx one and goes for about 40 quid

wow thats some serious jump, i didn't think it was that much from prodrive, and obviously abit more power if i went for aftermarket alternaitves.
