Has anyone fitted one of these, can you also fit this to the Coolant Reservoir or should it only be on the radiator itself?

 

mine had one fitted when I bought it new, I think it works differently to standard why I don't know looks nice tho

Its not on the coolant reservoir but only on the metal tank?
