Question Help - Knocklink

Hi all

Just left a deposit on a P plate wrx sti 3....ive read various reports before about putting a knocklink onto import cars...is this essential..should I get one fitted prior to picking the car up...or will i be alright on optimax alone...im lost guys any help would be appreciated....changing from my uk 97 turbo...cant wait car ready in 4 weeks....yee haaaaaa

Paul,
There is no doubt at all but you must get a knocklink to gauge any det on your engine. If I were you I would buy the knocklink over the next 4 weeks so you have it at home before you collect your car. Then fit it when you get your car home. They are quite easy to fit so it can be your first job on a brilliant choice of car....best of luck.
If I am correct I think from a previous thread of yours that its an RA...better still...
Just to add after reading your post a second time that you are much better off adding some octane booster also. I am not to up on which is the best brand but there are plenty here that know thier stuff on whats best...

Paul, I have a brand new unit available now for £130 includes display, sensor, wiring and full instructions. if this is of use
