I am looking to buy a subaru for the 1st time i have tried 03 wrx and 02 sti, i fancy the 02 sti, it has 30000miles on it and is for sale at £18000, it is a sti prodrive style, but without ppp.
Can anyone advise on this ie-price or anything i should know 1st about this model before i buy?

have just gone from wrx to sti ppp and its a different world. depends if the latest thing appeals. i would now settle for an older sti ppp and get a private plate if the number things an issue. enjoy mate

18K is far too high for an '02 STI with that mileage. You can pick up a brand new Euro 2005 STI for 20K, so that price is madness. Have a look on Autotrader, you can pick them up a lot cheaper with much less miles.

thanks for that lemOncurd, will keep looking but they are pretty few n far between up here in scotland, lots of choice if willing to travel 200+miles to see.

ps mate, the one i have been looking at up here is a prodrive style, dunno if this should make any difference to value.

Hardly any - it's a purely cosmetic difference, and the standard car actually looks better IMHO.

Looks like you need to make a weekend of it and head south, you'll save a fortune.

yep andy that looks to be the case, maybe pick up an 03 version for same money so i got ma pug coupe up for sale now.
