What colour
do you associated with Scoobs? I automatically think of wr blue ones. Do people with the "proper" blue ones look down on those who have different colour ones, seeing as theirs is the most faithful to the rally rep images?
Conversely, do those with non- WR blue ones look down on those with WR blue ones for being sheep with little imagination?
Just curious as to the views on this, seeing as the thread on whether Scoobs should have silly white wheels generated some interesting comments.

Personal choice I think, I have a silver MY00 and certainly don't look down on any other colour classic, currenty saving hard to get a new STi 8, the first choice of colour for this will be white, followed by the WR Blue, each to their own.

I like rare coloured ones, like STi8's in white or yellow Type R's, that kinda thing
I associate DBM classics as ex company cars WR-Blue new shapes as people who got talked into it by their mates and silver classics as the fastest
Hope this helps

The WR Blue is the most identified with new age WRX/STI's. I have the WR Blue which my wife fell in love with ( and I love the colour too). If I would have been single, I may have opted for a silver one as it is a classy timeless colour and the car seems more stealthy. The late Dark Blue Mica Classic with gold wheels looks really smart. To be honest I like them all and wave to all.
The other day, a black MY04 STI came towards me, but it didn't look like a STi somehow - so much so that I just kept looking at it wondering what it was - I didn't wave until it had gone by. I think the black makes it look more dumpy and upright - still a fantastic car though.
The colour does affect the car - silver looks more sleek - black looks more solid.

I always associated the classics with green with gold wheels and the newer cars in blue with gold.
Mines in red mica, don't look down on anyone. As its an unusual colour people don't always notice that its a scooby. The blue / gold and green / gold people associate with subaru heads turn etc.
Only colour I have seen that I don't like is yellow.

Personal choice - but got to be Black!
I liked the black as did not seem to be so many around and I felt it slightly less obvious and more subtle (in a mad max sort of way!!)
Hey they all look great and most people only see the back end disapearing into the distance anyway?

Ah so it's not just about the looks, the colour has a bearing on the performance of the car.
I remember a thread where the colour of the wheels was a mojor contributor to the car's performance (black wheels fastest, then gold, silver and slowest was white). Doe sthe colour of the car have more bearing on the performance than the wheel colour or less?

I really used to love Sonic and WR Blue Scoobs - but the Blue always was used for special editions. Now you can purchase a WRX Type UK in WR Blue it has made them a lot more common It is certainly not a rare sight to see a WR blue Scooby Not really a complaint but as a Mica Red Classic Owner it is nice to have something different to the usual colours

Geddon- Exactly, and gold wheels make it even quicker! ;-) Hence the name Speedlines! Well....that's what the salesman told me anyway! ;-)

Love my silver, but have had 4 silver cars previously so time for a change to WR Blue on the the wife's 04 WRX , but it's murder to keep clean and shows off every ding and imperfection compared to the silver cars, does look the bollox though
