Question

I also have an early WRX and want to know how Revs grille looks.

Was any tweaking required for the fitting of the grille and what colour does it come as?

Lee,

The Revolution Grill comes un-painted, so you will need to get it sorted by a decent paintshop. It also needed a bit of prep to sort out a few small imperfections in the moulding.

I fitted it by drilling 2 x 5mm holes in the top edge and used cables ties to secure it through 2 existing holes in the Slam panel just above the radiator.

I also used some double sided trim tape (the type used for sticking on bodyside trim and badges) on the bottom edge to stick it to the bumper.

I did trim a couple of edged with me Dremmal Sander just to make a perfect fit, but alot of people would of probably been happy with out this bit of fine tuning.

I will try and post a pic as soon as I can get one on some web-space.

Scott,
Is the grill the type with the big holes in the mesh, and has it not got the push in clips on the grill like the old style grill has.
Regarding the 22b vents i heard that they don't fit in the old style holes, but i can't be 100% on that cheers, nick.

nickwrx,

The grill is a copy of the 22B Style i.e coloured surround that protrudes out onto top of bumper. It has a mesh grill (similar to the mesh that you may use on a bodywork repair prior to filling). With a centre strut for locating the Scooby Badge.

It has been modified by revolution (I beleive) to fit the Early Scooby front lights.

It doesn't come with any fixings, but does locate well on the exixsting mounting points (but with-out any clips). The method I used to mount it was described above.

Others on the BBS have also fitted this grill, but I am unsure how they went about it.

With respect to the 22B Bonnet vents, Yeh me and many others are aware that the current 22B style vents available only fit the latter bonnet. Although I beleive Revolution are trying to source some for the early WRX.
