Default Has anyone regretted putting graphics on their scoob

I am seriously considering altering the looks of my type- R to create a replica of a works rally car. not the 555/ subaru stickers but something a bit different.

there must be some downsides to this - unwanted attention etc. Its not that I want to stick on the crowd. Its just that I am real rally enthusiast and would really like to create a replica of the "Q8" or "spike subaru" WRC car.

Has anyone really regretted doing this sort of thing?

Good question! Also, does it increase your insurance premium?!

You should bake the cake before you put the icing on.

umm I cant afford WRC cake!! the only mods I have planned are GEMS ECU and full decat. and AP racing brakes when finances allow.

car is already fitted with 6 point cage and coilovers.

I would be worried about the paint. You sometimes see a old BT van driving around and you can just about make out where the stickers were

I'm just in the throws of gettin mine done - I have a Mica Red Classic and fancy some graphics. I have a sort of home made design that incorporates the 555 design and like you I am doing it cos I am a bit of a Rally Nut

I will no doubt run with them for a year or 2 and then remove them and give the car a good polish to take out any residual marks.

The trouble with old bt vans they were never cared for like the scoob will be? As long as the showing paintwork is cared for the paint under the graphics will be fine

Yes. I had them on my type r, i liked them at first but they attract a lot of attention especially from kids, which may be fine if you are a paedophile but i am not Not saying all people with graphics are You can't go anywhere without being noticed. My opinion is they look better without

LOL all kids like the scoob! its shame its only a myth about women wetting there knickers over cars!

I did manage to think of a massive downside --

lets say you were involved in a bit of Road rage or acted like **** in some traffic situation - you end up feeling like a marked man whenever you drove such a distinctive car

Yes you get people looking when the car is plain but it gets a lot more looks with graphics And as you say if by any chance you accidentally cut someone up you are very noticable and its not so easy to mingle in with the millions of other imprezas on the road

Oi, Dazza ! Your graphics are wrong. I know for a fact that you aren't using Motul oil, and I don't recall you having Pirelli tyres either

Looks though

No Charge

They should be reducing your premuim, imagine the call going out on the police radio:

"All units, be on the lookout for an Impreza, blue with flourescent yellow swooshes all over it and Kin Qwik written on the rear windows"

Thieving scum wouldn't make it to the end of the road
