Default Test Drove a Type 25 Yesterday

Thanks Iain,

Saturday am at Cheltenham's Powerstation. What a superb machine.

Very quick and very surefooted and docile whilst pottering about. However that woosh when the scenery goes by fast is intoxicating. It positively snarls. Only slight criticism is the loss of that flat four burble because of the equal length manifold.

I want one in early 2005 but I'll be keeping the 911 for the moment though.

Hi Simon,

I was at Powerstation yesterday (all morning) and heard Iain pull away in his 2005 STI, and that certainly had the grumble from the exhaust, even though it had equal length headers. Actually after hearing it, I've pretty much decided that I will indeed get headers fitted to my car

Do you know if it's still on the standard STI exhaust, or has he fitted the Milltek (Type 20) system yet?

I didn't get close enough to see if it was the Milltek system. I may well have been, as all the other Type 25/STi's without engines all had the Milltek system fitted.
