My Sister's Super Sport Ltd Ed.
No looking down your noses now My sister has a UK 'Y' plate Classic Super Sport. It's one of a limited edition of 250, with 125 in black and 125 in yellow, as hers is. It's basically a Sport with Recaro interior and body styling/spoilers a la sti/wrx. Gold wheels, front splitter, black side skirts and all that. Hers is totally standard and unmarked with a mere 40k on the clock. Now I know the turbos are more desirable but why is she having so much trouble selling it? She's considered trading in but those dealers who would even offer her anything are offering sub £3000! She paid £8000 for it 18 months ago with 24k on.
Any thoughts? Is it worth advertising it on here or are most of the owners here purely wrx/sti/turbo owners/desirers?
Anyone else finding scoobs hard to shift?

Give it a go on here, you may get lucky.
Although many have turbo's, WRX, STi etc, there are a hell of a lot more who don't have Imprezas yet....... for various reasons.

I tried selling my sisters sport so that she could get a WRX but no-one wanted to know She is going to strip all the bits off of it and put it back to standard and keep the bits for a WRX.
Hers is a complete turbo replica and looks pretty much standard with a nice sti interior, 16" gold wheels & it's a dark mica blue but nothing It even has rear discs & UK turbo front brakes so you just can't tell 'til you open the bonnet!
Sports are very underated cars

I sold mine within 2 days of advertising it! mind you i spent a fookin fortune on it. that was a sport as well. didnt look like one though and it was eva so slightly quicker as well.
I think there is just a lot of them on the market at the minute and some owners are panicking thinking there not going to sell so dropping prices, and thats having an effect on the market for them. imo anyway.
will sell just finding the rigbht person for it, put it in max power, the kids are the ones with all the cash for these cars.

If it had been the black one......................
To be honest mate, in that horrendous yellow colour, it's no wonder the car is attracting pathetic bids and not selling. Get the wheels painted anthracite or black to give it a chance. Gold and pale yellow is not a good combo!

Went to my local dealers to book my car in yesterday. They had some 51 to 53 plate sports in (not limited editions just ordinary ones). They were priced at between 7 to 9k.
The ones I saw were white, yellow and black.
To be honest I think Matt has hit the nail on the head, yellow

I must admit I baulked when I saw the horrendous colour she chose. it looks like that filler/primer stuff and is about as shiny. Also very nasty combo'd with gold wheels, black or anthracite would definitely improve matters. Ah well, she'll learn to ask her big bro's advice next time

What models are non-turbo. And what are the differences between them.
Its just that when I look in auto-trader etc I can't tell whether they are turbo, or what cc they are cos I don't know the specs.

tisn't a 'super sport', it will be a 'sport special', and there were 400 made, 200 of each . Would have come with silver 15in wheels as standard so the gold ones have been added later. It won't have a recaro interior either unless that was added later.
Normally she could reasonablly ask for about £6500 for it but there have been a few of the yellow ones for sale recently and no one is interested
Sports are going for silly low money now but so are turbos, so i don't think it's just hers but all subarus in general?
But yeah ditch the gold wheels, it ain't a great look!
