Bonnet Behaviour
On my way to work this fine morning in my new age STi and it was a bit windy. I was travelling about 90mph (that bit on a private section of road ) and into the wind. The car was getting tussled about a bit but the alarming thing was the bonnet. I know they lift up a bit when you let them stretch their legs but this was scary. There was a severe arching with the apex at scoop level and each front corner lifted a couple of cm anyway . I slowed down because I was sure it was going to flip. Catch was securely shut. Has anyone lost their lid like this? Just curious.

I have frequently had my MY00 upto the 150 stage on teh Autobahn and the bonnet shakes abit but never had a problem with it so all the road driving you do in the UK your bonnet will survive.
My mates have also done over 150 in STi8s with no probs so I wouldn't worry about it TBH.
