MY00's with low rear spoilers

A quick question...
I reckon I'm fairly clued up on Impreza model history/styling, but over the last week I have seen 2 different W reg'd scoobies which look like standard UK MY00 Turbos but with low rear spoilers like the older models. They were both in the same part of Herts. Any explanations?

No explanation, but the other day I saw a 555 blue Scoob (post-97 model) on the way to Cambridge with a huge STI V spoiler but no bonnet scoop.
Did your W-reg scoobs have scoops?

As an aside I recently saw pictures at the dealer of a new Impreza Sport featuring the HIGH spoiler, momo steering wheel and dials of the Turbo. I think they called it an import special 200 of each in two colours Black and Yellow.

Didn't realise the WRX does not get high wing as standard, there certainly aren't many around in that case as I see sti's almost daily. The vehicles in question were lacking in garish WRX stickers but I suppose they come off easy enough.

I was at wilsons a couple of weeks back and they had some sports(no turbo bonnets) for sale with sti 5 style rear spoilers in dbm.
I reckon that chuckster is right and they where probally wrx's not sti's, saw a white 4 door in waterloo today no spoiler at all must have been an wrx ra.
