MY02 - black box under rear bumper ?

Was just looking under the rear bumper and saw this black box situated on the right hand side..

Anyone know what this is ?

If you do a search you will probably find something. It recirculates unburnt fuel vapours or something (I know... great explanation!! ... should pay more attention in class!!).
