I have been offered the chance to buy a 03 WRX wagon which has been in an accident and is Cat D. The price is approx £12k rebuilt by John Pye I believe. The chance has come through a good friend at work whom i trust and knows John quite well.

I drive approx 15-20k miles a year mainly for work who I get a decent car allowance and mileage rate from so running it over these miles isnt a big problem

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
