Unbiased Brakes!!!!!!!!!!
#1
Awaiting delivery of P1.
Having trawled through endless debates about brakes whether it be pad & disc change or full on brake set up changes, it seems that personal opinions on this subject sway in favour of mods that are already on various owners cars.
What i would like if possible is an unbiased answer about which set-up to put on my baby!.
1:It will be a full set-up change.
2:4 options;1:AP 6 pot
2:AP 4 pot
3:Brembo 4 pot
4:Prodrive 4 pot
Bearing in mind that the car will probably not be doing many track days but will be driven enthusiastically on a regular weekend basis what is the best option?
AP 6 pot looks and probably performs superbly, but is it or any of the other options substantially better for non track usage than the prodrive kit.

Allo,
Unbiased (because I have neither) and educated (because I have been in both) I would DEFFO go for 6pot AP's. I have yet to see a car that can stop time after time with constant abuse and still perform miracles.
Other than that, you could always get AMG to fit ceramic F1 derived aerospace brakes on your car. Best braking system in the world, me hears.
10 emergency brakes from 130 mph, one after the other and still no brake fade.
not bad for a car that hits 2.5 tonne on the scales.
