Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on a couple of bits i've found on my STi

In the engine bay on the drivers side there is a plaque that says "STi 53 of 200"
and also at the front of the engine bay there is a plaque that says prepared by STi.
It's just the number plaque i'm wondering about really, could it be a limited edition?

The early Sti's where built by a small team of people off the main production line and all had the number plaque. I have a scooby book somewhere with the all info, but away from home at the mo.. try out the sidc site..

IN ANY CASE IT SEEMS UNSUAL .WHATEVER VERSION IT IS ITS A LIMITED EDITION .WHICH WILL PROBABLY BE TWEEKED IN SOMEWAY FOR THAT YEAR.
