Is it worth extending the Warranty?
My P1 is coming up to 3 years old now and the warranty is due to expire or be extended at the cost of £539!
Is it worth me extending it? Or is the money better spent on decat and remap?
Car has only done 20k mileage!

20K? suprised the engine hasn't blown up already!!!
Nah, in all seriousness, I had the extended warrantee for an additional year on my MY99, but not anymore. It did pay for itself. But mine did have higher mileage.
Sod's law says that you DON'T have it, and you blow an engine
Not much help, but that's the risk with these warrantees.
There WILL be a large proportion of Scoobynetters fighting for both camps. The choice is yours.
Best of luck with your decision.

Try sending a PM to my mate 'ChrisS/P1' and ask him!
He went through the same dilema and then his gearbox went t!ts up and he realised that buying the extended warranty was the best decision he ever made! For some people it will be a waste of money while for others it will be a life-saver. All you need to do is decide if you could cope with a £3,000-5,000 bill for a new gearbox / engine!
I extended my warranty having already had a new clutch and a problem with my fifth gear.
Mark.
