Urgent help needed!!!
Please help!
I very nearly did a deal for a 1997 typeR yesterday, just about to finish the deal,-the guy assured me everything was ok-HPI wise, but checked anyway,
this is what came up- stolen recovered 2003, and still outstsanding finance,
this car is currently on a "well known Auction site"
the car has got a mechanical fault but i still wanted to go for the deal as it was going to be a project over next few months, it was a straight swap for my 95 type Ra,(good deal i thought)
what i want to know is-is there anyway of sorting the finance problem out, the guy assures me he paid cash for the car earlier in the year, so it may have been an owner further down the line,
not really bothered about the sto-rec as my current RA was . just wouldnt want to finish the project and then get a knock on the door for the car repossesing
been told if you contact the finance company explaining circumstances ie you bought car in good faith etc, it could be resolved,
keep thinking of walking away as it might just be a "too good to be true" deal
any advice would be much appreciated,
by the way the car is the "unusual" coloured one

Good luck m8, i'm pretty sure that the finance is for the car - so if finance is unpaid the car cannot be sold sort of thing...
