Bad news. I live in the Woking area (St. Johns) I'll keep a look out. Anyone in an impreza who doesn't wave back (probably not from the area), I'll hex them'

Received a letter from Northamptonshire police yesterday.
Initially thought I had been photographed for speeding, but I don't do that kind of thing.

Turned out to be informing me of a spate of Impreza thefts in the Northants area, and advising me of precautions to take.

Very proactive and appreciated.

Any useful precautions? Or just usual stuff?

Cheers,
Rich.

Mr. Cookie,

Have you been talking to Al and Julie too.

I heard all about it. Can't believe the way they nicked them, obvioulsy highly organised but how do you drive three cars across multiple gardens without destroying the cars?

Iam also a freind of Al and Julie, could not find I nicer bloke to buy a car from !!! he told me last week about this theft and I was shocked, but 2 nights ago my neighbour was woken by my car alarm. looked out the window and saw 6 guys trying to steal my 5door WRX.As soon as they saw the curtains move they where off. Very professional little damage to the car, alarm nearly deactivated. I live in the Camberley Bagshot area near AL. and feel that as there where six guys they where not just going to be taking home just the one scooby that night!
My car is up for sale and had a very strange guy come and look at it last week not very interested did'nt ask may questions, then said he would phone me in a hour and make me an offer. never the less I have not heard nothing from him since. It may be something to do with this guy or not. (blue escort van)
If you are selling your car be very wary if you have a time waster who does'nt come back block your car in the driveway try and not show them where the alarm is mounted etc.
I feel these guys are hitting the Bagshot Surrey/Berkshire border.
Be careful.

PS: does any one know where I can get a replacement air deflector from around the window ?

When anybody come to look at your car or house for that matter always record their car registration etc. you never know when it may come in handy.

Thumbs down

The theft thing is getting really bad - don't know why they seemed to have started now though?

I work in Ascot and I'm often there quite late, so thanks for the warning guys - I'll keep my eyes open for anything unusual or 'unfriendly' Scooby drivers.

I am also in the Camberley Bagshot area (silver W reg). Despite a car full of additional security devices - I recently purchased a CO2 powered 6 shot air gun with a laser sight.

Should make some scummy car thief think again as the red dot pursues him up the road

Irresponsible, stupid ...whatever - makes me feel better.

Yeah I did take the Number plate, but the copper who atended would not take it !
Even after I explained about the strange way he acted etc.He started asking, "Why do people always want to get t the bottom of things " If he does not want to find the ba*"$@ds who will ?. Sorry for being helpfull.
I have since spoken to Al and the Police blokey dealing with his theft is a bit more concerned and will take the number and check it out.
