I've seen a few posts where people have complained about their A/C not getting as cold as they would expect. If you are one of them, you may find this of interest...

I had a problem with the A/C on my car and took it today to Jackson & Phillips in Leighton Buzzard, Beds for a diagnostic check -

I've just had my climate refreshed as well - they should remove the old gas - dry the gas - weigh it - add or remove the appropritae amount - add oil forthe compressor and recharge

The vents should blow at air at down to 5 degrees - below 5 the compressor should cut out

Question

I had A/C fitted last July at my dealer in Baldock, and have found that in hot weather the compressor just cuts out after a short burst. This is a real pain when sitting in traffic and the temp is just rising.

Do you think this is a dealer issue ? Or is that the way it is ?

A bit frustrating especially when it cost £1500 to get installed !!

Thanks

I had some problems with my aircon recently... it's been tracked down to a fault in the installation of Power Engineering's Oil Cooler... which was fitted by the maker. They failed to secure the braided hoses away from my aircon condenser matrix, the braiding gradually wore through the condenser core and resulted in pressure loss and system failure. Pretty much par for the curse in my expirience with the Uxbridge company.
